Enrico Caruso Starred Only In Two Films. 

"My Cousin" And "A Splendid Romance." 

It was said that Caruso's acting was far ahead of the rest of the cast or the scripts.  In "My Cousin" he played a dual role, a famous tenor and his impoverished sculptor cousin.  This film opened with great fanfare at the "Rivoli" theater in New York and was plugged mercilessly in the trade press and elsewhere.  
"Few Films," says the Museum of Modern Art Film Library, "ever enjoyed less success."   Caruso's second film "A Splendid Romance," was never released.
